Private Temporary Email

Private temporary email is designed for messages you may need to revisit without making the inbox readable to anyone who only knows the address.

Owner link protection

A private inbox has a secret owner link. The address can receive mail, but the address alone is not enough to read messages or delete the inbox.

Treat the owner link like a password. Anyone who has it can manage the inbox, and InboxMade cannot recover it if it is lost.

Best use cases

Use private mode when a service may send repeat verification messages, reset links, launch codes, invoices, or other content that should not be visible through a public address.

Private inboxes are still temporary-email tools. Do not rely on them as the permanent recovery email for high-value accounts.

Retention and deletion

Private inbox addresses remain active until the owner deletes them. To keep reusable inboxes tidy, messages older than 30 days are cleaned automatically.

Deleting an inbox removes its messages and burns the alias so the same address is not reassigned later.

Choose the right mode

  • Choose public mode for short, low-risk, one-time tests.
  • Choose private mode when the inbox must be reopened securely.
  • Copy and protect the private owner link immediately after creation.
  • Delete the inbox when the workflow is complete.
